“ We sat at the bar on a Sunday to watch football. Perfect spot. Oysters were fresh and great. And big! ”
“ I try to eat here every time I am in town. I tried the muffuletta and was not disappointed. Has a little spice but not too much for the week. My cousin from Omaha tried it and wished she would have gotten the same. Service was great. She enjoyed her shrimp and baked potato. ”
“ We got here late so it was pretty much empty but the food was very very good as was the service. Nice ambiance too ”
“ My brother and I went here for a late lunch on a Tuesday around 2:30. There were just a few full tables at the time. We were too late for the lunch special but now we know that they have one! Anyway, we opted for an order of the shrimp stuffed jalapeños and an oyster poboy with fried okra as the side. Yep-fried, fried, fried!! Oh my goodness! There was so much food. We split the poboy and couldn't eat all of the jalapeños. Even with half the poboy I had to take the fried oysters off the sandwich so the sandwich would fit in my mouth. I probably had a dozen oysters in my serving only and so did he. The taste of the oysters was delicious! The jalapeños were different from other places. Not small jalapeños stuffed with cheese and shrimp but large balls of shrimp, cheese and jalapeños mixture lightly fried. So, so good and pretty spicy! Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. My brother wanted to go back while he was on vacation but we didn't make it back. But since I'm a local I will be headed back soon. You can't wrong at The Black Pearl ”
“ I'm giving it 4 stars due to the experience over all but my food itself was closer to 3! The service was really nice and quick: I was able to sit down with my colleagues, order lunch, eat and make it out by the end of my lunch hour. The portions are HUGEE like seriously we got Boudain balls, a side Cesar salad, 2 sides of rice and beans, catfish strips, fish tacos and another thing and none of us finish any of it. The fish tacos were huge and I think that restaurants think "the bigger the better" but all it did was make it extremely difficult to eat. There's no need for 2 pieces of fish to be on ONE tortilla. That was another thing, if you're gonna give me that much food double up on the corn tortilla. The fish was underseasoned. The sides are huge sides so seriously think about it before over ordering because we did not lol. The inside was nice they were playing the olympics. This wasnt mt favorite place BUT if youre on the strand, want some seafood and are hella hungry, i say check it out. ”
